February Scavenger Hunt

Gosh, how time has flown. A click of the fingers and we are here in March already. I'm not sure if anyone else out there says 'White rabbits' when it's the first of the month, or is that just a me and grandma thing! Anyway, here we go. The end of February came round so much quicker than expected., so there was a mad dash at the end to find some scavenger hunt photos. I have found it pretty hard going this month, lots going on with a new job and everything, but I got there in the end.

So thanks to 'Greenthumb' for hosting, here's last month's Scavenger hunt photos.

Flowers- there's been an abundance of flowers around this month.

On the road...
Actually more like on the roadside,  a clump of Daffodils that my dad planted years ago, that each year keeps popping up.

Tap...
These long tailed tits were tapping away at the bird feeder.

Something beautiful...
Taking in the beauty of all the little things in life.

Bird...
A very cold freezing fog kinda day, complete with a Crow sitting in the frozen hedgerow.

Whatever I want...
I just can't get enough sunset and sunrise pictures, wherever I am in the world!

Love....
My friend's little girl was colouring in a I love you poster.

Price ...
I would love to say this is my kitchen, but the IKEA price tags give it away. I can dream although!

Heart...
I couldn't resist using this one, even though my heart shaped images are from ages ago, I decided to put them together as a collage for Valentine's Day.

Number...
A variety of number resources that I use for teaching in my maths lessons.

A corner of my home...
Shamefully, a very messy corner in the spare room, that doubles as a dumping ground for all my craft materials

My favourite colour...
Is turquoise and all its variations.

So that's my lot for this month. Looking forward to March.

Send a little love Swap

Well hello there, I hope this finds you well. I have had a very busy couple of weeks, a few stressful times, an end of an old job and an interview for a new one and some nice days out. But everything works out for the best and things are looking up.
In the midst of all this I had a lovely parcel arrive from Glenda in New Zealand. As part of a Share the love Swap, organised by Tracey at Madaboutbags.blogspot.co.nz, I was on the reecieving end of a very nicely packaged parcel.

It was full of lots of gorgeous goodies.
Like a hand knitted dishcloth in wool called 'love'.
A little notebook, a stamp, some heart pins and some delicious chocolates.
There was also a lovely little ceramic heart and some moisturiser.
And my favourite thing, some sweet kisses and a beautiful cosmetic/ pencil case. I can't wait to use it.

I felt very lucky to get some a thoughtful gift. As part of my end of the bargin I sent over some gifts too:
Some crafty hearts and buttons, a hanging wooden hear and some earrings,
Some fluffy socks and a silk scarf,
Some chocolates and card,
And to finish all off I made a little tea caddy / carry case, in Glenda's favourite colours of Purple and green.
So there you are my little love swap parcel.

I'll fill you in with the other little ups and downs soon, but until then, sending all my love,
Amanda x

Scavenger Hunt for January

Oh joy of joys, I have my laptop back!!! and to celebrate the fact I can actually post something properly here are my Scavenger hunt pics for January. Thanks to Greenthumb for hosting this wonderful hunt. :)
Big
Some extra large planters, found at the Garden Centre.

Blue
This bowl was on the windowsill in the school corridor. I have worked there for over 10 years and never even noticed it before! It must be a new addition! It does match our school colours though.

Bottle
Supermarket bottles of wine, at too good a price not to indulge!

Cold
A cold and snowy deserted playground.

Hidden
Little bulbs hidden from view in the soil- I wonder what they will turn out to be.

In the Fridge
Lots of different bottles in the store fridge

Landscape
A very early morning landscape, Taken on my way to work. It was a very cold and frosty day.

New
This is my 'new' pinafore. It's new to me, but it's a 1960s welsh wool pinafore dress that I acquired from the local retro and vintage shop.

Texture
Textured embroidery on my new White Stuff skirt.

Up High
The aforementioned Vintage shop-Lots of things hanging up.

Whatever I want
I couldn't resist taking a photo of all these lovely colourful threads.

Words
Wintery words on one of our school display boards.

So there you go, my January pics. Roll on February!

However I could nt leave without giving you a taster of something pretty, that I will blog about in a future post. It's a lovely Greeting card, by an artist called Chelsea Groves.

I love the colours- What do you think?
